We are in the final two weeks of Kite Runner; this will be a fairly major period of work, so please do not fall behind.

Due Thursday, 12.8: Kite Runner pp. 259-292; Kite Runner Character Chart (50 points)
Due Friday, 12.9: Kite Runner pp. 293-310; Essential Question check possible
Due Tuesday, 12.13: THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN THE CALENDAR: Kite Runner pp. 311-371 and ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS!

Thursday and Friday, 12.15, 12.16: Non-Fiction reading and study questions (stories to be announced)

Kite Runner (E-12) Week Three and Four

Amir’s life is about to change dramatically as his past not only catches up to him, but also forces him to step up to what he has done. It also means leaving the safety and security of the United States (and his bride).

Thursday, 12.1: Kite Runner Readings pp. 195-213 due;  Kite Runner Short Answer quiz (Chapters 10-16; timed 20-30 minutes) (this replaces the in-class essay); Socratic Seminar Part I

Friday, 12.2: Kite Runner Socratic Seminar Part II;  Due Monday, 12.5: Kite Runenr pp. 214-258.

Kite Runner (E-12)

We start Kite Runner this week, with an initial research work done and due on Thursday, Nov. 10th (students should have this in hand…this portion will not be available online!)
