Due Monday, Nov. 21st:
By the Waters of Babylon take home test. Students will be presented with 40 questions. To get an “A”, do 30 questions, “B”, 25 questions, “C”, 20 questions. No “D”s on this assignment. It is due on Monday!!! No exceptions except serious illness (parents, please e-mail!)

In-class: Essay question from “Waters of Babylon” (25 minutes). Start of “The Sniper” reading and study questions.

Due Tuesday, Nov. 22nd: “The Sniper” Reading and Study questions (these will be posted Monday, 11.21 and also provided to students). There will be an in-class assessment on “The Sniper” on Tuesday (quiz or essay question

Short Story Unit (Caged Bird essay)

We started this week getting into in-depth analysis with the Ray Bradbury short story “There will Come Soft Rains”.

Monday, Nov. 7th: Students received the handout for “Soft Rains” and did the prior knowledge and making predictions section. Due Tuesday, Nov. 8th: Investigate, Inquire and Imagine (sections 1 through 4).

Tuesday, Nov. 8th: Investigate, Inquire and Imagine (Sections 1-4) due. In-class: Personification, theme, and a quick check of the information.
